"If I'm Lying I'm Dyeing"

Im on my 4th month of transitioning and I washed my hair today and my hair is just feeling like silk right now... smoothe is the word... really healthy and soft and moisturized but not oily and it smells like heaven OMG!!!! On another note I did a little research today and im sharing some facts and myths on black hair care:
1.Cutting your hair doesnt make it grow faster your hair grows half an inch a month.
2. Brushing your hair 100 times over time can cause damage to your hair cuticles and cause breakage, it pulls hair out of the follicles and weaken individual strands of hair; it does not promote hair growth. Brush it to style and let it be.

3. Overuse of grease can block pores.

4. Try to use as little heat as possible especially if you have permed hair, it can be very damaging.

5. Do not perm your hair until it is bone straight just so you can put heat in it to give it volume.

6. If you pluck one grey hair more will not grow in its place but if you make it habt it can damage your roots.

7. You can not mend split ends I dont care what the bottle says, TRIM before it splits even more.

8. Massaging your scalp stimulate oil production.

9. "We" should shampoo our hair every 3 to 7 days ofcourse this varies depending on your hair type I personally wash on Mondays and co-wash on Thursdays.

10. If you sweat daily do to activities you should wash the salt out your hair with water and do a leave in conditioner.

11. When you detangle your hair please do it in sections and always start from the ends and work your way up and be gentle; patience is imperative.

Help a Sista Out...

This weekend I had the pleasure of kidnapping my aunt Sabrina who happens to be au natural... yall kno I been doing my hair research so it was time to experiment lol. She started by washing crap (cough)... I mean glue out her hair... after the conditioner and air drying process I moisturized and sealed her hair with the soft sheen finishing lotion and castor oil, I also massaged her scalp with grapeseed oil . We then did a quick twist out so her coils and curls will be bigger. This morning we untwisted her hair and just seperated them with our fingers and did a puff with a knee high (nothing less than amazing) She hates wearing her hair for some odd reason but today she was proudly rockin her hair.... for her hair sake im making her do her own hair research :

Shiny and Healthy

I also undid my braids from my co wash from thursday I used the same products to moisturize and seal and I used cantu shea butter on my edges and hear are the results...

My hair is not styled I just took down the braids and took a pic woop woop for new growth... going on 4 months!!!!

Wave Buh Bye...

Thus far im enjoying my new texture of hair its so soft and curly. These are pictures of my hair after my co-wash (conditioner wash) I combed through my hair in the shower and proceeded to the t shirt drying method for 15 minutes, I then sprayed my edges and nape with motions leave in conditioner and distributed the motions leave in creame throughout my hair, finally I bunned my hair and put my scarf on to let it air dry and when I removed the scarves I saw my little new growth all laid down looking good lol.
After the wash I had to moisturize and seal of course using Carson Soft sheen finishing lotion and my castor oil for the seal. When I finished I used just a little of Cantu Shea Butter on my edges. A review on my new products are coming soon because they are trully awesome and leave my hands and hair soft NOT OILY!!!!
It's really thick in there but with patience and clips its not too hard to manage. I definetly can not just try to run a comb through all of it at once oh no no no I must do my hair in sections. Other than that its not that bad I believe my natural hair wont be that difficult to manage (I hope). Well hair tips and faqs are next on my to blog list god bless :)

Braid(it) To The Back...

Lately for my hair I have been moisturizing it with shea butter oil, grape seed oil, and tea tree oil. I have also been braiding it so I want be tempted to mess with it. I wore my natural hair today which I havent done in a while and I was very satisfied with the results of my braid out!!!

The bigger the braid the looser the waves...

Unbraided, love my fading color

This is when I decided I might want to do the front...

Better view of the back... It's not a complete look but it's already gorgeous... im taking my hair down tomorrow for the grand finale ( I rebraided the back later that night)... cross your fingers :)

"Take Me Back"

Hello everyone just to bring you up to date me and some of my closest friends have decided to go natural No perm.... no heat... just a lot of conditioner and organic oils!!! I started off by accident actually I just got lazy and didnt feel like going through the relaxing process and 3 months later I decided ahhh... to heck with perms lol.

"Is that your hair"- get'em everytime lol

Im going natural WITHOUT the B.C. I''m going to post pics of my current protective hairstyle.
1.I started by parting my hair ear to ear
2.I braided the back of my hair in individual plaits then put the hair in bantu knots.
3.I placed my lace front wig on half my hair ( doesnt have to be a lace front any wig will do im just working with what I got)
4. Then I simply pin the remaining hair I left out over my wig.
